moths! moths! moths!

How in the world does a moth get into a high-rise office building in downtown Denver, somehow get on the elevator, exit on my floor, make its way through the elevator lobby and reception area and over to my desk, and fly by me - actually BRUSHING MY FACE - giving me a mild stroke while I'm innocently spacing out while on a marketing conference call?

I actually gasped a little and let out a little-girl squeal, at which point the moderator of the call laughed and said, "What was that? Is everyone OK?"

Now the damn thing is sitting right beside my phone, just biding its time before it swoops in again either to finish me off or send me shrieking out into the streets of downtown Denver.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I have an irrational fear of moths. They're so scary and hideously ugly!

Does it have to do with Silence of the Lambs? Because I'd understand if it did.

Although, the fact that you let out a little-girl shriek... well, that's like the scene in Notting Hill when Hugh Grant said "Whoopsie daisies!" I know because while readin about your little-girl shriek (while on a conference call nonetheless!) I just laughed like Julia Roberts does in that scene. Brilliant!

Nope - nothing to do with Silence of the Lambs. It's just this weird, pointless fear. A fear that makes me seem like a big wuss.

But luckily I'm more than comfortable in my masculinity and have no problem admitting my quirks.

I haven't seen Notting Hill, but I love the Hugh Grant comparison!

Butterflies and moths are ugly close up. They make my sckin crawl.

But being that I don't kill stuff, I usually just catch 'em and throw 'em back outside.

Although, you couldn't really do that at work.

I wanted to say also, that I totally agree about with you about your comment on my site about 'Coffee and Alchies'.

Word verif [how funny]:

flmtgyza

Could almost be an anagram for Flaming Gay.
